JCMG internists provide comprehensive, long-term, general medical care for patients in office and hospital settings. Internists typically work with patients who are seriously ill or have a chronic condition and are over the age of 18. They are trained in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of numerous diseases and conditions and manage the common illnesses and complex problems of adults and the elderly. Internists work with undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes and treat you for a wide array of issues including diabetes, heart and lung disease, flu, and fatigue to name a few.
