JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Influenza seasons are unpredictable, and can begin as early as September, which is why now is the time to get your flu shot. Jefferson City Medical Group, your trusted healthcare provider, wants to keep you healthy this flu season. JCMG will offer community flu shot clinics to everyone age six months through adult, during special evening clinics throughout the coming weeks.
“Getting vaccinated is the single best way for people to protect not only themselves against the flu, but their loved ones as well,” says Dr. Lora Folz, JCMG Pediatrician.
Flu clinics will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the JCMG Medical Building, 1241 West Stadium Blvd., on Thursday, September 21, 28, October 5, 12, and 19.
Appointments are not needed. Patients are required to bring their insurance cards to the clinic, as cost will vary depending on insurance benefit. A cash discount is available to those without insurance.
The high-dose vaccine will be provided to patients 65 years of age and older. Please check with your insurance provider regarding benefit coverage.
