JCMG offers COVID-19 testing at our Express Care locations. Due to increased demand, waits might vary and be longer than expected. Thank you for your patience as we safely evaluate as many patients as possible.

Free MO DHSS Free Community Testing Days
MO DHSS hosts regular Community Testing Days across the state, with one being in Jefferson City about every 2 weeks.
- Most of the events are drive-thru events; if an event is indoors, the site information will clearly indicate as such.
- Some sites have an appointment time and require pre-registration.
- Family and friends may assist in registration of others needing testing.
- If the sites does not require pre-registration, having a state issued identification card available at the testing site will speed up the process immensely; however, no identification documents are required.
- The test used at these community testing events is a PCR test done by an anterior nares swab to determine the presence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
- Results will be available as soon as possible, but no later than 72 hours from the event.

Purchasable Take-Home Tests from JCMG Pharmacy
JCMG Pharmacy has tests available for purchase (CareStart COVID-19 Antigen Home Test by AccessBio).

- Two (2) tests in a box, available for purchase for $24.99 for the box.
- Maximum of 3 boxes per customer.
- Smart phone required; must download app to see results.
- They are rapid antigen at-home tests, not PCR.
- They can be taken anywhere.
- Results are available within 10 minutes (no lab drop-off required).
- They work whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms or are up-to-date on your COVID-19 vaccines.
- These tests are also referred to as “self-tests” or “over-the-counter” (OTC) tests.
Free At-Home Tests
Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. The tests are completely free. Orders will usually ship in 7-12 days.

- They are rapid antigen at-home tests, not PCR.

- Results are available within 30 minutes (no lab drop-off required).
- They work whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms or are up-to-date on your COVID-19 vaccines.
