McKenzie Hamacher works as a nurse practitioner within JCMG Gastroenterology. Gastroenterologists assist patients with issues affecting the digestive system including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.
While not at JCMG, she’s spending time with her friends, family and her Goldendoodle, Davie. She loves to be outdoors, stay active, travel and visit new places.
In joining the JCMG team, McKenzie wants to make an impact on the health and outcomes of the Jefferson City community. She wants her patients to feel comfortable knowing that she will always have a smile and open attitude to welcome them.
McKenzie always knew she wanted to work in healthcare. She graduated in 2014 with a degree in Health Sciences from the University of Columbia, followed by completing the accelerate nursing program the following year. She worked as a pediatric nurse for several years before achieving her Masters in Family Medicine in Family Nurse Practitioner from UMKC.
