Laura’s goal as a provider with JCMG is to establish and foster patient/provider relationships which provide a comfortable environment. She encourages patients to ask questions and make informed decisions about their health. Laura’s passionate about preventative care/screenings to help stop or delay potential health issues for her patients in the future.

“I knew as a child that I wanted to work in healthcare. My mother was a nurse, and I knew that I wanted to follow in her footsteps.” Laura completed her BSN at Truman State University and worked as a labor and delivery nurse for almost 15 years before returning to UMKC to obtain her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and pets. “I enjoy the creative process and spend time crafting when I can. I have a small home décor business that I enjoy in my free time,” she adds. Laura and her fiancé have 4 children between the them, as well as 3 dogs—2 miniature schnauzers and a parti yorkie. They enjoy cooking, spending time outside, and going to the movies.
