Kristin Huenink’s population focus is adult and gerontology primary care, with a passion for diabetes and obesity management. She strives to provide holistic and individualized care to each of her patients, with a focus on chronic disease management and preventative health promotion.

About Kristin Huenink, AGNP-C

Kristin Huenink is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. With a passion for diabetes and obesity management, becoming a nurse has been Kristen’s dream for as long as she can remember. Her prior nursing experience includes nine years as a critical care nurse, in a medical-surgical ICU, and eight years as an advanced nurse practitioner in Internal Medicine.

Kristin is married to her high school sweetheart and is a proud military spouse of an active-duty Army officer.  They have two daughters and one Golden Retriever.  In her spare time, she enjoys watching her daughters at soccer and gymnastics, CrossFit/HIIT workouts, skiing, hiking, and traveling.

Through her work with the JCMG family, Kristen hopes to deliver collaborative, patient-centered care to Mid-Missouri, while empowering our community to gain greater control of their health and healthcare.

Academics

Kristin Huenink received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Central Missouri and her Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from St. Louis University in 2013.  Kristen is currently working on her Obesity Management certification with The Obesity Society.
