Jason Frost, MD

Dr. Jason Frost’s interest in anesthesiology began in medical school after shadowing a local general surgeon and working as a phlebotomist at a major hospital. He has over 20 years of experience in providing anesthesia for a wide range of surgeries. His dedication to the field is noted by his various academic instructing roles at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Frost began his medical career caring for pediatric patients as a resident at the University of Missouri. Prior to joining JCMG, he worked as the Director of Anesthesia at a women’s and children’s hospital, focused on providing anesthetics at an orthopedic hospital – honing his skills in performing ultrasound-guided nerve blocks that minimize patients’ pain after orthopedic surgery, and spent ten years at a private practice in St. Louis providing anesthesia to large volumes of endoscopy cases and ambulatory surgery cases.

Dr. Frost was raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, and is married with four kids. He enjoys watching his kids participate in sports and other hobbies, traveling, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. He is happiest when working on his family’s hobby farm where they grow various fruits and vegetables.

Dr. Frost is an anesthesiologist who works within JCMG’s Surgery Center, providing safe and effective anesthesia to every one of his patients. He monitors vital signs and lung/heart function while patients are under anesthesia, ensuring the highest effectiveness and utmost safety.
