Jason Allen has been providing physical therapy services in Jefferson City for more than 20 years. At JCMG Physical Therapy, Jason provides customized treatments to help patients reach their personal goals including sports rehab, manual therapy, balance rehab, and industrial rehab. In 2023, he became the first physical therapist in the state of Missouri to be certified in Functional Manual Medicine (CFMM) through Michigan State University.
Jason Allen grew up in mid-Missouri and graduated from New Bloomfield High School in 1995. His interest in the physical therapy field began in his 8th grade health class. He was drawn to the idea of working with athletes and helping them regain their function. After researching the profession throughout high school, Jason decided to attend the University of Missouri where he ultimately earned his master’s degree in physical therapy. Jason graduated on a Saturday and saw his first patient in the JCMG Orthopaedics building on Monday morning.
Over the last 20+ years in the community, Jason has built a strong rapport with his patients and the physicians at JCMG. He has continued his education through Michigan State University, learning osteopathic techniques in the treatment of biomechanical restrictions which has directly resulted in improved patient outcomes. Jason is board-certified in Orthopedics through the APTA, and in 2023 became the first physical therapist in the state of Missouri to be certified in Functional Manual Medicine through Michigan State University.
Jason and his wife Laura have been married since 2003 and have four children. In their free time, they enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking in nature or kayaking on Missouri’s rivers.
