Janet is a nurse practitioner with The Neurology Institute, offering full-service neurology care and treatment of a variety of neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, movement disorders, epilepsy, neuropathy, neuromuscular disorders, cognitive disorders, stroke, headache, and sleep disorders.
As a Board-Certified Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Janet Barnes enjoys working with adults, especially the geriatric population and their families. Throughout her nursing career, Janet has worked in a variety of settings including oncology and hospice. Janet’s goal as a provider is to positively impact her patients’ lives in meaningful ways. At The Neurology Institute, she diagnoses and treats patients suffering from neurological conditions that impact their lives while focusing on education and treatment to enhance function and decrease their symptoms. Janet is an avid reader who enjoys spending time with her husband and their blended family of four daughters, one son, two grandchildren, and two lively dogs.
