About
Briana’s interest in health care began early, inspired by her mother’s career as a nurse practitioner. As a teenager working in a family practice office, she developed a passion for building relationships with patients and began to understand the importance of preventing chronic disease rather than treating it after it has progressed. These two principles continue to guide how she practices medicine today.
While completing her graduate degree, Briana worked as a nurse on the neurology floor at Boone Health, where she discovered her passion for neurology and stroke medicine. She is dedicated to helping patients understand their diagnoses while reducing future risk through blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes management, and lifestyle-focused care and caring for patients during some of their most frightening moments.
Through hospital follow-up visits, Briana aims to support smooth transitions after hospitalization and help prevent unnecessary readmissions. She partners closely with patients to create practical, personalized care plans that promote long-term health. Originally from Georgia, Briana moved to Columbia at a young age and now lives in Harrisburg with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, fishing, swimming, attending live music events, and unwinding with music or a favorite true crime series.
