Amanda’s main focus is on skin cancer prevention, education and removal. With an emphasis on diseases and infections, JCMG dermatologists treat skin cancers, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, and skin condition resulting from other diseases. Your dermatologist may even be part of your surgical or treatment team.
Amanda has an undergraduate degree from Central Methodist University and a Master’s of Science in nursing from Maryville University. Dermatology became Amanda’s passion when her father-in-law passed away from melanoma. Amanda enjoys treating all skin conditions and is especially passionate about raising melanoma awareness in the community. She is the president of Miles Against Melanoma, a nonprofit organization that raises money for melanoma research. She also holds many free skin cancer screenings throughout mid-Missouri and speaks to local groups about skin cancer. When she is not working or volunteering, she spends her time camping and boating with her husband, Darren, and her two children, Olivia and Everett.
