Your Dialysis Treatment Options and What to Expect
Our partnership with DCI offers comprehensive dialysis services designed to support your kidney health and overall well-being. Under the leadership of Medical Director Lisa Kolb, MD, the clinic provides two primary dialysis modalities to meet different patient needs:
- Hemodialysis: A machine filters waste and excess fluid from your blood during scheduled in-clinic sessions, typically three times per week.
- Peritoneal Dialysis: A cleansing solution filters waste through the lining of your abdomen, performed during in-clinic appointments based on your treatment plan.
The DCI team works closely with you to minimize disruptions to your daily life while ensuring you receive the consistent, high-quality dialysis care your kidneys need.
Location and Access Information
DCI patients should park in the designated DCI parking spaces located at the back (west side) of the JCMG Medical Building. The dialysis clinic is accessible only through the covered entrance behind the building.

Our Partnership with Dialysis Clinic, Inc.
JCMG formed a partnership with Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in 2018, bringing together decades of specialized dialysis expertise with our physician-owned model of care. DCI is a nationwide non-profit organization of dialysis centers that has been providing kidney care since 1985.
In 2024, DCI opened its new clinic location within the lower level of the JCMG Medical Building at 1241 W. Stadium Blvd, making dialysis care more accessible and integrated with other medical services at JCMG. This integration keeps your entire care team working together toward your health goals.

When You Need Dialysis Treatment
Recognizing when dialysis becomes necessary helps protect your long-term health and prevents serious complications. Understanding the warning signs empowers you to seek timely evaluation and treatment:
- Persistent fatigue, nausea, or difficulty concentrating despite other treatments
- Swelling in your legs, ankles, or around your eyes due to fluid retention
- Shortness of breath or changes in urination patterns
- Lab results showing significantly reduced kidney function or dangerous electrolyte imbalances
- Diagnosis of chronic kidney disease progressing to stage 4 or 5
- Acute kidney injury requiring temporary dialysis support
