Some patients develop dark circles and bags under the eyes, loose skin, flattening of the cheeks and other problems. These result in significant aging of the midface. The face constantly looks tired. Lower blepharoplasty works to correct these issues. We make an incision on the lower eyelid and smooth the transition between the lower eye and the cheek. We use small fat grafts to smooth circles under the eyes as well as the “tear trough deformity.” The eyelid is repositioned to its pleasing natural location and the cheek is lifted to bring back the natural fullness of the upper cheek. Patients will look smoother, fuller, and more alert. The patient will often look younger, and, more importantly, she will look her best.
