Bio for Jordan Chavez, Licensed Clinic Social Worker

Jordan strives to create a warm, empathic environment where clients feel at ease. Jordan believes rapport between the client and therapist is crucial to the therapeutic process. She has clinical experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and transitional life stages. Jordan’s therapeutic approach is in line with a client-centered/humanistic perspective. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, Child Centered Play Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques to best meet the needs of the individual client. She has worked in the mental health field for 5 years in a variety of settings including inpatient, community mental health, and outpatient with children, adolescents, and adults. Jordan enjoys traveling, a good cup of coffee, and spending time with her husband Matt and yellow lab, Scout.
