Cordie Boyd is a nurse practitioner at Express Care of JCMG, offering compassionate care to patients of all ages. She treats a wide range of non-emergent medical concerns that require prompt attention, including minor illnesses and injuries. In addition to urgent care services, Cordie has experience in wellness visits and immunizations. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based medicine and personalized care, ensuring each patient receives thoughtful treatment tailored to their individual needs and overall well-being.
Cordie Boyd has always felt drawn to the field of nursing. Inspired by her mother, who worked as a nurse in a long-term care facility, Cordie spent much of her childhood surrounded by residents, listening to their stories, learning from their experiences, and developing a deep appreciation for patient-centered care. As she grew older, she joined the facility herself, starting as a housekeeper and eventually advancing to the role of Director of Nursing.
Her career reflects a strong commitment to professional development and quality care. Cordie recently earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), further enhancing her clinical knowledge and expanding her ability to provide evidence-based, individualized care across a broad range of patient needs.
Outside of work, Cordie enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and six grandchildren. She also loves visiting her extended family in Texas. A lifelong learner at heart, Cordie is passionate about continuing her education and deepening her understanding of healthcare. “If learning were a full-time job, it would be my ideal
career,“ says Cordie.
