March 18th, 2020
JCMG physician leaders and clinical directors have been meeting daily to prepare for the widespread and rapidly evolving COVID-19 virus and related issues. Our foremost focus continues to be the health and safety of our community, patients and staff. We are following federal and state guidelines and carefully managing potentially symptomatic or at-risk patients as proactively as possible.
Rear Entry Closure
As of today, patients may not enter through our rear entrances of our Stadium Medical Building at 1241 W. Stadium Blvd in Jefferson City. The closed entries include the Outpatient Surgery Center entry and the Purchasing entry. Patients must come through the front.
Oncology Entry Limited to Oncology or Infusion Patients
JCMG’s Cancer Center entrance and elevator is limited to Oncology/Hematology, Infusion, or Radiation Oncology patients only along with their caregivers.
Fever and Symptom Check Before Entry
Upon entering any door at our Stadium Campus including the Medical Building entry, the Women and Children’s Center entry, and the Orthopedic building entry, you will have your temperature taken and you will be asked about respiratory illness symptoms. If you have any symptoms, you will be given a mask to wear. If you have symptoms and exposure risk to COVID-19, a staff member will escort you to express care.
At this time, we are asking patients to bring no more than one additional person with them to their appointments or to Express Care, whenever possible. We would also like to minimize the number of visitors under the age of 18. We know this may be difficult or even impossible in some instances. Any efforts to comply with this precautionary guideline are greatly appreciated.
If you may have been exposed – call before you come.
We ask that patients with exposure risk and symptoms please call our COVID-19 Risk Notification Hotline at 573-635-JCMG, option 1. Please see more information on that here.
Thank you for your understanding during this uncertain time. We’re here to help!
