JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Jefferson City Medical Group is pleased to announce that Melissa Astin has been hired as the Vice President of Operations.
Astin comes to JCMG from Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she worked for 14 years for one of Arkansas’s largest independently owned multi-specialty groups, serving the last 10 years as Chief Administrative Officer. Her vast experience in healthcare administration, strategic planning, revenue cycle management, clinically integrated network development and accountable care organization compliance make her a valuable addition to the JCMG administrative team.
Astin received a Masters of Business Administration degree from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She and her husband, Dudley, and son, Kuper, recently moved to Jefferson City from Arkansas. “The physicians and staff at JCMG have been very welcoming. I’m excited for the opportunities that await me and my family, and look forward to getting involved in the community,” says Astin.
